Daniel Dewar

If film isn't dead, it's because Dandy Denial has been determinedly performing CPR on it for the past 17 years. And they're pretty sure they can detect a pulse. Using analog equipment and alternative processes from the 19th and 20th centuries, they are constantly exploring and photographing unusual and overlooked nooks and crannies. Whether it be a back alley in their neighborhood while walking the dog, high up on a hill in rural Oregon exploring a haunted cabin, or close-up images of textures and objects, Dandy is continually examining and pushing at the edges of their own definition of what it means to be a photographer in the 21st century.

An exploration of a decaying, liminal space, forgotten between the edges of the industrial and residential areas of Dauphin. Shot entirely on 35mm film, over the course of a year.
